About International Commission for Development

International Commission for Development (ICD) has been serving the poorest of the poor in five states across India for more than two decades, earlier as Nikhil Sarvamangal Charitable Trust and as ICD since February 2014.

As a non-profit, National Level organization, ICD is primarily focused on education, farmer awareness, rural development, water resource management, health, social justice, women and child rights and environment protection, besides promoting a cooperative development model for various village-based enterprises.

As of now, ICD runs 47 village level primary education centres wherein it provides free education, food and school dresses to 22000 children. Beneficiary members of ICD also receive free healthcare services in several hospitals in its project areas.

ICD also conducts a large number of programs for its beneficiary members throughout the year and distributes household essentials, such as cook ware, utensils, sewing machines, mixers and clothing.

ICD actively promotes self-help groups (SHGs) in a cooperative model to encourage self-reliance through village-based micro-industry development and helps market such products under its banner.
