ICD brings in experts, as well as leading and progressive farmers, to demonstrate farming best practices in its project villages. ICD's research team also collates information on proven practices followed in some of the developed nations such as the US, Israel, the Netherlands, Germany and France and share it with farmers in project areas. However, as much as possible, ICD actively propagates use of natural fertilizers and insecticides to bring down input costs and to improve soil fertility.

ICD's awareness programs on best farming practices also encourage multi-cropping, soil appropriate crops, livestock rearing and other complementary professions, with the aim to boost, and if possible double, farmer incomes.

In the near future, ICD is also planning to use mobile or truck mounted Audio-Visual aids, subject to donor largesse.
