ICD has deployed well equipped ambulances in its project areas to transport beneficiary members in cases involving medical emergencies to the closest hospital or clinic to save lives. These ambulances are parked in close proximity to project villages and also double-up as mobile health units when not meeting emergencies. Available doctors and trained medical assistants use the parked ambulances as temporary offices to carry out basic health check-up and dispense over-the-counter medicines to anyone from the project area.
